The Venue
The Princess Pavilion in Falmouth has a rich history dating back to the late 19th century. It was originally constructed in 1897 as part of the celebrations for Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. The pavilion was designed as a concert hall and entertainment venue, offering a picturesque setting for various cultural events and social gatherings.
Over the years, the Princess Pavilion has undergone several renovations and changes, adapting to the evolving needs of the community. It has hosted a wide range of performances, including concerts, plays, comedy shows, and dance performances, making it a hub for entertainment in Falmouth and the surrounding areas.
In addition to its role as a venue for arts and entertainment, the Princess Pavilion has also served as a community space for meetings, exhibitions, and other events. Its scenic location near Gyllyngdune Gardens and Swanpool Beach adds to its charm and appeal.
Today, the Princess Pavilion continues to be a vibrant cultural landmark in Falmouth, hosting a diverse array of events and activities for residents and visitors alike. It remains an important part of the town’s cultural heritage, providing a space for people to come together and enjoy the arts in a beautiful seaside setting.
The Princess Pavilion is passionate about where our food comes from, supporting small local producers and aiming to reduce food waste. We serve speciality coffee and delicious homemade food, including heavenly cakes, and a range of mouth watering freshly prepared lunches.
Our menus change seasonally and we often have weekly specials in addition to our standard menu items. We always have options available for those with specific dietary requirements and our dedicated chefs are happy to advise.
Our bar has a great selection of local draught and bottled beers along with an impressive choice of quality spirits, sourced locally where possible. Our cellar has a variety of popular red, white and rosé wines by the glass or bottle. For those special occasions, we also have a choice of Prosecco or Champagne.
